Saturday, August 30 - Ordeal Hike from Alpental to Kachess Campground. Contact Jim Lindsey.

Saturday, June 14 is the day for the annual clean-up of the Cabin Creek area

2008 KSC TRAIL WORK PLANS:
Everyone who enjoys skiing on the Cabin Creek Sno-Park XC ski trails are welcome to join us for the 2008 Kongsberger Ski Club trail work parties. Planned dates are Sept 13 & 14 and 27 & 28; and October 11 & 12 and 25 & 26. Meet in the KSC cabin at 10am for a safety and objectives briefing. We'll have more info on our web site later in March.

Spring trail assessment and USFS Parking Lot cleanup dates to be determined.

2008 goals:
Bring the existing trail system into compliance with FIS standards of 6 meters (20') of groomed width between the drip line of whole trees with the ground prepared for grooming with no more than 30cm (1') of snow on the ground.
Dig out culverts, drainage ditches, and trail sluffing.
De-vegate the sides of the existing trail system.
Open up the trails south of I-90 , including the connector trail from Exit 63 to 62.
Investigate additional trails.
Continue our efforts to eradicate invasive noxious weeds.
